The United Way of North Central Mississippi recognizes education, health, and financial stability as key factors vital to individual, family, and community advancements. Our neighbors’ challenges and unanticipated obstacles such as COVID-19 have furthered our drive to ensure we offer support and solutions today and throughout this unprecedented time.
Your local United Way has been there to support your neighbors – expanding our annual initiatives and leading new programs in response to the increased need. Since March 2020, we have launched COVID-19 relief initiatives to support residents throughout Oktibbeha, Choctaw, Webster, and Winston Counties. To date we have nourished more than 500 families through our United We Feed - Emergency Food Drive and assisted 98 residents experiencing COVID-related loss of employment with mortgage, rent, and utility payments. We have also put books into the hands of numerous children, caregivers, and educators through our United We Read initiative.
