United Way at Mississippi State
At Mississippi State, we’ve always been about helping others and strengthening the community in which we live and work. When we reach out a hand to even one person, we then influence the lives of many. That’s why your support of the United Way of North Central Mississippi is so important. By focusing on the building blocks of a good quality of life—education, shelter, food, health and income—the United Way can, with your help, create opportunities for a better life for all.
While we are getting a late start on our university-wide campaign, we hope you will still consider assisting your local United Way as we begin a new year full of hope and renewal. The United Way of North Central Mississippi works through 15 agencies in Oktibbeha, Choctaw, Winston and Webster counties to positively impact families and build stronger neighborhoods. All gifts and pledges are confidential and any amount given makes a difference. There are several ways you can invest in your community:
1. A one-time gift or pledge can be made by completing the enclosed United Way Pledge
Card and sending it to your division head. From there, pledge cards and donations will
be picked up by a United Way representative.
2. The enclosed United Way brochure also includes a Pledge Form. With either the printed
Pledge Card or the Pledge Form, you can complete it and mail it to: United Way of North
Central Mississippi, P.O. Box 1603, Starkville, MS 39760. Methods of payment are
outlined on both the card and the form.
3. You also have the option to go online to http://www.unitedway.msstate.edu and click
on the “Payroll Deduction” link. From there, you will be guided through the necessary
steps to make a payroll deduction pledge.
Many donors to United Way choose to make a “Fair Share” gift of one hour’s pay per month. The homepage of the website mentioned above has a “Your Fair Share” link that assists you in figuring what the amount would be for this type of gift. Cash, check or credit card donations are accepted, and you may choose to be billed monthly, quarterly or annually.
Your continued support of the United Way of North Central Mississippi is greatly appreciated, and you can learn more about your local agency by visiting http://www.unitedwayncms.com.
