United Way at Mississippi State
As our recent Carnegie designation implies, MSU is involved in our community and The United Way is one such involvement. We know that the MSU community of faculty and staff take care of each other.
In the spirit of reaching out to make a difference in our community and using the power of one, we hope you will participate in the United Way campaign this year by making a pledge or contribution.
Only submit a pledge card if you are making a pledge.
The preferred method of making a pledge online is to establish a payroll deduction. Do this by visiting the MSU United Way website at http://www.unitedway.msstate.edu/. On line pledges are the most confidential.
We encourage you to participate at any level, in any amount. If every employee at MSU would pledge at least $2.00 per pay period, we would exceed our goal of $100,000, so you can easily see the power of being united.
Our promise to you is that your gift will be kept confidential. Be sure you use your MSU ID number (instead of your social security number) on your pledge card. You can even designate your gift to your favorite United Way agency (circle on your pledge card or designate online)
As a guide for giving, a fair share pledge is one hour of salary per month (i.e. if you are paid $10.00 per hour, a fair share pledge would be $10.00 per month). You can visit http://www.unitedway.msstate.edu/fairshare.php and the calculator will determine your monthly fair share for you.
In addition to your pledge, there will be other ways to support United Way on campus this fall. Watch for information about the online Auction and a 5K run to benefit the United Way.
Thank you for supporting this campaign - 2012 Campaign Staff.
